Entries in Things You'll Love (85)
So while we're at it, here are some things I'm NOT thankful for (2011 edition)
Admittedly, this may not be the healthiest practice, but creating of list of things I am not thankful for each Thanksgiving is slowly becoming one of my favorite Turkey-Day traditions. (Get a load of my 2009 unthankful list here and the 2010 one right here.)
Enjoy yourself today! Have a happy one, and stop feeling guilty. Just have that second slice of pie already.
This year, I'm totally not thankful for:
- Hang nails
- Improper turn-signal usage
- Stuck drawers
- That Whitney show
- Cold noses
- Cold toes
- The cold in general
- (Also, having a cold)
- Armpit stains
- Commissioned-based sales people who follow you around a store
- Stale chapstick
- The time right between haircuts when your bangs are just slightly.too.long
- Questionable drops of water that fall from the sky on sunny days
- Bad puns in otherwise good television shows
- Errant hairs
- Realizing that your chocolate-chip cookie is actually an oatmeal-raisin one
- Spotty cell-phone service
- Layovers
- Delayed flights
- 3-1-1 for carryons
- A burned tongue and/or roof of the mouth
- Unwanted stickiness
- Tootsie Rolls, or any candy trying to masquerade as chocolate (the jig is UP, Tootsie Rolls--just cool it!)

Ladies Who Brunch (AKA, Blogs & Sites You Should Check Out ASAP)
Hey there. How've you been?
Things are a bit busy around these parts. I did manage, however, to have time for a lovely brunch at the charming Ted & Honey in Cobble Hill this weekend. Joining me were some mighty fine and supremely cool ladies. And you know how you know I'm telling you the truth about their fineness/coolness? Because you see the photos below and understand that I am seriously being real with you.
(I mean, stop it with the cute shoes!)
The fab autumn footwear you're witnessing is modeled by Kate Thorman of Ideeli, Hana Choi of Style Fare and the newly launched (and super buzzy) Pantry Confidential, Kristin Appenbrink of RealSimple.com (also a frequent M-Dashing co-star), and Christine Han, also of Pantry Confidential. But not in that order. I'll just let you guess who is who. (Ten points if you can! Either way, pay a visit to their sites, y'all--good stuff all around.)

My Tech Top 10 on Unplggd
Cerentha Harris, my editor over HermanMiller.com, recently interviewed me for an Apartment Therapy Unplggd series called "My Tech Top 10." Want to know what made the list? Head over to the site and take a gander.
Want to know what almost made the list, but fell off, soley because I didn't have a chance to run down and take a photo? The relatively new electronic arrival-time clocks in (some, but not enough!) NYC subway stations. I can't tell you how much I dig those things. They aren't always 100% right, but they 100% reassure me that, yes, there WILL be another train, lady--just calm it down.
(I kind of wish you had those sort of signals in all areas of my life, you know?)
Thanks, Cerentha.
