Dear Winter,
You might be pretty, but you can suck it.

I don't know what it is about my friend Kristin, but every other time I am with her, I somehow spy cool graffiti that I just must capture on camera (case in point: she was with me when I took these photos just last month).
These latest pics are from a trip to the Brooklyn nabe of Red Hook over the long weekend. And, um, how awesome is the Hook's smarty-pants graffiti?
Preach it, Red Hook.
Can't get enough.
(Unless, you know, it was on my car or something. THAT would be enough.)
Over the weekend, I visited the new Paper Source shop in Brooklyn (woot!) along with the lovely Kristin Appenbrink. We went to see PAPER+CUP founders Minhee and Truman Cho demonstrate how to make adorable paper balls from their new book, Paper + Design. (P.S. The book was styled by Randi Brookman Harris, whom I wrote about this summer. See that post here.)
I don't consider myself that crafty, but loved learning how to make this simple and chic decoration. It would look perfect hanging with several others at a party, or as a smart gift topper.
Kristin is going to be writing about how to make them over on her blog at RealSimple.com, so keep an eye out! **UPDATE: Kristin's post is up! See it here.
